In this page you will find a list of optional visits add to any free day you have in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Battambang. You can book visits for half day or full day.
If you choose one program with free days (for instance, one from "At your own pace" or "Making friends"), you can complete your days off which it gives you the possibility to create your own trip.
Just so you know, a 2 half day visits is the same as a full day visit.
|OPTIONAL VISITS IN SIEM REAP AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO FREE DAYS|
SIEM REAP. VISIT TO THE ROLUOS. (HALF DAY)
Transfer overland for about 16 Km to visit the Roluos Group Temples, which were part of the first construction during the Classic Period of the Khmer Empire, and provides a good perspective on the evolution of Khmer Art. This group consists of 3 temples: Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. We also visit the Roluos Market.
SIEM REAP. ANGKOR WAT. (HALF DAY)
We drive out to visit the jewel in the crown and official UNESCO Heritage Site of Angkor Wat Temple. Return to Siem Reap Town.
SIEM REAP. CITY OF ANGKOR THOM. (HALF DAY)
A visit to the fortified city of Angkor Thom ("The Great Royal City”) which covers an area of over 10 square kilometres and within which are the Bayon Temple, the Baphuon Temple, Phimeanakas royal ponds, Preah Pithu Temple, Preah Palilay, the Terrace of the Leper King, the Terrace of Elephants and the twelve towers of Prasat Sour Prot. Return to Siem Reap.

Our visit today includes; Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Ta Nei and Sra Srang Royal Pond. Return to Siem Reap Town.

Our visit today includes; Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Ta Nei and Sra Srang Royal Pond. Return to Siem Reap Town.
SIEM REAP. TA PRHOM, TAKEO, THOMMANON AND CHAU SAY TEVODA. (HALF DAY)
Our visit today includes: Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda. Return to Siem Reap.
SIEM REAP. PREAH KHAN, NEAK POAN, EAST MEBON AND PRE RUP. (HALF DAY)
Our visit includes: Preah Khan, Neak Poan, Eastern Mebon and Pre Rup temples. Return to Siem Reap.
SIEM REAP. EAST MEBON, BANTEY SREI, BANTEAY SAMRE AND PRE RUP. (HALF DAY)
You transfer for about 37 Km to visit Banteay Srei Temple. Then back to Angkor Area by visiting Banteay Samré and Pre Rup en route. Return to Siem Reap
SIEM REAP. CYCLING IN ANGKOR AREA. (HALF DAY)
We depart overland to Run Ta Ek village, where we pick up our bicycle to start our ride to Phnom Bok, one of the few hills in the area rarely visited by tourists. We attempt to reach the top on foot along a winding uphill track. At the top we enjoy a wide panoramic view of the temple and the plain. Next we walk downhill to pick up our bicycles and continue on to Banteay Samré, riding through the stunning Cambodian landscape and villages off the beaten track, in spite of being few miles away from the main tourist spots. After visiting Banteay Samré Temple, also called “The Small Angkor Wat”, we continue our ride to Preah Dak handicraft village and Sra Srang Reservoir, where our transport will be waiting to take us back to Siem Reap Town.
SIEM REAP. TONLES SAP, ARTISANS D'ANGKOR AND MARKET. (HALF DAY)
Today we transfer out to the pier at Phnom Krom, where we start a relaxing boat trip through the floating village of Chong Kneas. Later we head back to town where we visit the Artisans d´Angkor workshop where disadvantage children are taught about traditional handicraft techniques using stone and wood. We then visit the market. Return to Siem Reap.
SIEM REAP. KBAL SPEAN, BANTEAY SREI, BANTEAY SAMRE, EAST MEBON AND PRE RUP (FULL DAY)
We transfer to Kbal Spean (The River of a Thousand Lingas) where we walk uphill to complete the visit. Afterwards we drive out to visit Banteay Srei, Banteay Samré, Eastern Mebon and Pre Rup temples. You will have free time during the visit for lunch. Return to Siem Reap.
SIEM REAP. BENG MEALEA AND KOH KER PYRAMID. (FULL DAY)
In the morning we transfer about 60 Km to visit Beng Mealea Temple, followed by a drive out to the Koh Ker complex. Once there were more than 100 temples here, but their ruins are now overgrown by vegetation. Later we visit the Great Pyramid, some 40 m, and 7 stories high, known as Prasat Thom (also called Prasat Kompong) and Prasat Krahom, the "Red Temple". Later we take a break for lunch. We continue our visit to some of the best-preserved temples as well as a local village. Return to Siem Reap Town.
SIEM REAP. PHNOM KULEN AND SRA DAMREI. (FULL DAY)
Today we transfer overland to Phnom Kulen National Park, the holiest mountain in Cambodia. We then drive to the top to visit some waterfalls and a monastery with an 8 metre long reclining Buddha carved right at the summit. Afterwards we drive out to Phum Thmei village where we leave our vehicle behind. We continue on foot for about 3 Km to Preah Kral pagoda. Two more hours hiking leads us to the entrance of Prasat Rong Chen, the first mountain-temple built in the Angkor area and where you can still see several life-size animals carved into the rock, the highlight being a 4 m by 3 m high elephant. Next we have a break for a picnic lunch. We return to Phum Thmei to re-join our vehicle and head back to Siem Reap town. If time permits we can have one more stop for a swim at Phnom Kulen to enjoy a refreshing swim. Accommodation.
SIEM REAP. ANGKOR THOM, NEAK POAN, PREAH KHAN, EAST MEBON AND PRE RUP. (FULL DAY)
This morning we visit the ancient citadel of Angkor Thom, which includes: the Bayon, the Baphuon, Phimeanakas, The Elephant Terrace, The Leper King Terrace and The Prasat towers. We take a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Neak Pean, Preah Khan, Eastern Mebon and Pre Rup temples. Return to Siem Reap Town.
SIEM REAP. KBAL SPEAN, BANTEAY SREI AND BANTEAY SAMRE. BOAT TRIP ON TONLE SAP RIVER (FULL DAY)
We transfer to Kbal Spean (The River of the Thousand Lingas) where we walk uphill to complete our visit. Afterwards we drive out to visit Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre where we break for lunch. In the afternoon, we set out to Phnom Krom pier to take a relaxing boat trip through Chong Knies Floating Village before heading back to town.
SIEM REAP. WALKING IN THE TEMPLES OF ANGKOR (FULL DAY)
In the morning, you will be transferred to Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon temples. We start hiking along the route that goes along the Angkor Thom wall until “The Ghosts Gate”, and then we continue on to Bayon Temple. We have some time to take a few snapshots of the temple with some great light at this time of the day. Next we visit Preah Palilay, Preah Pithu, the Terrace of The Leper King, The Elephant Terrace and The Terrace of the Garuda (a mythical bird, a cross between a man and an eagle). We take a break for lunch. Afterwards we trek towards “The Corner Temple”, where we wait in a very calm and tranquil place with impressive views until the sunset. Finally we hike towards the Victory Gate where our vehicle will be waiting.
SIEM REAP. BENG MELEA AND KAMPONG KLEANG (FULL DAY)
We drive out to the pier at Kampong Khlean to board a boat and head to visit one of the largest floating villages on the Tonlé Sap Lake. After lunch we drive out to explore Beng Mealea temple before returning to Siem Reap.
Note: Due to the water level, this trip is NOT available from February the 1st until August the 15th.
SIEM REAP. PREAH VIHEAR. THE HANGING TEMPLE (FULL DAY)
We depart at 6:30 am and head for Preah Vihear temple taking the new road to Anlong Veng town. Preah Vihear is considered to be the most spectacular example of Khmer Art, literally hanging right at the edge of a mountain. After exploring the complex we stop for a lunch break. In the afternoon we return to Siem Reap visiting en route the Ta Mok house (the lieutenant of Pol Pot) in Anlong Veng, as well as the lake that provided shelter to the Khmer Rouge. We should arrive back in town late in the afternoon.
SIEM REAP - BANTEAY CHHMAR TEMPLE : THE MOST REMOTE AREA OF CAMBODIA. (FULL DAY)
In the morning we drive out to explore Banteay Chhmar Temples via Sisophon, located 160 km from town, in the remote northeast corner of Cambodia. Here we have a picnic lunch and in the afternoon, we visit Banteay Top and Ta Prohm before returning to Siem Reap.
SIEM REAP. KAMPONG PLUK (HALF DAY)
We transfer out to the Roluos group of temples, where we take a boat trip to the Kampong Phluk floating village. On arrival we pay a visit to a local pagoda and then we hop aboard a small boat to explore the village and the floating forest. We head back to the pagoda for a further short visit around this area before returning to Siem Reap Town.
Note. Due to the water level this visit cannot be operated from February the 1st to June the 15th.
SIEM REAP - SUNRISE AT ANGKOR WAT (2 hours early in the morning)
Early in the morning we transfer to Angkor Wat to enjoy the spectacular sunrise behind the temple before return to Siem Reap.
SIEM REAP - SUNSET AT PRE RUP (2 hours early in the evening))
We head out to the foot of Phnom Bakheng where we walk uphill until to visit the temple at the top and to see the sunset before returning to Siem reap.
Note: This visit is not subject to extra charges if it is combined with a full day or half-day excursion in the afternoon. Therefore you will be asked to pay an extra charge if you want to do it separately.
SIEM REAP. KHMER COOKERY COURSE (HALF DAY)
At 8:00 AM we transfer you to the class location to learn how to cook some of the most traditional Khmer dishes. The class lasts 4 hours, from 8 am to 12 noon, when you can eat the dishes you just prepared.
Note. This tour is available from Monday to Friday except public holidays and the class is taught in English. N.B. Transfer back to the hotel is NOT provided.
|OPTIONAL VISITS IN PHNOM PENH|
PHNOM PENH. VISITING PHOM PENH (FULL DAY)
In the morning we visit the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and The National Museum. After a break for lunch we continue on to visit Wat Phnom, the Toul Sleng Museum and the Russian Market before heading back to the hotel.
PHNOM PENH. PHNOM DA, ANGKOR BOREI, PHNOM CHISO AND TONLE BATI (FULL DAY)
We head out to Takeo Province to take a boat trip to Phnom Da. Afterwards we continue on to Angkor Borei to visit The Chenla Museum after which we take a break for lunch. In the afternoon we return to Phnom Penh, visiting Phnom Chisor and Tonle Bati en route.
PHNOM PENH. ANCIENT CAPITAL OF UDONG (HALF DAY)
We transfer overland to the Ancient Capital of Udong. After exploring the hills around Udong we return to Phnom Penh.
PHNOM PENH. KOH DACH ISLAND (HALF DAY)
We transfer by boat to the neighbouring island of Koh Dach on the Mekong River, famous for its weaving workshops where some beautiful silk is made. We visit several local villages, temples, fruit plantations and the "Mekong Beach" before having lunch with a local family before returning to Phnom Penh..
PHNOM PENH. SUNSET IN THE "FOUR ARMS" (2 HOURS)
We transfer to the pier to take a boat trip to the "Four Arms", so called, as it is here we see the confluence of the Mekong, Tonle Sap and Tonle Bassac waterways. We return to the hotel after sunset.
|OPTIONAL VISITS IN BATTAMBANG|
BATTAMBANG. ANCIENT HOUSES, RURAL BATTAMBANG, BAMBOO TRAIN AND TEMPLES. (FULL DAY)
In the morning we head out to the Bamboo Train Station. There, we hop aboard a simple wooden platform powered by a small engine. Afterwards we return to the first station to end this fun and unique trip. Next we drive to visit Ek Phnom temple followed by a stunning journey back through beautiful landscapes and villages. On the way we also stop to see how spring rolls, silk weaving and Prahok (fermented fish paste) are made. After lunch we set out to Wat Banan and Phnom Sampeau, where we wait until the sun sets to watch thousands bats streaming out from several caves before heading back to the hotel.
